GRIDIRON NSW WOLVERINES SCHEDULE CHANGES

Attention: Wolverines Players

Due to unforseen circumstances, our games will not be played on the 9th and 11th.

Our games will now be:
-GAME 1, 7th of July, 10am kick off vs New Mexico/ Texas
-GAME 2, 9th of July, 11am kick off vs Cal North / Cal Central

This means we will be leaving on the 6th of July at 7am from Parramatta Station and return on the 10th of July at 7am

I deeply regret any inconvenience this has caused to the players, their families and the coaches.

GRIDIRON NSW WOLVERINES 2008 TRAIN ON SQUAD

The 2008 Wolverines are attending the Down Under Bowl on the Gold Coast on the 8th to the 12th of July.

To confirm your attendance you will need to contact Head Coach Rocco Bosco by text on 0411 563 800 or by email on Colbey66@hotmail.com

Training until the event will be on Thursdays (7:00pm - 9:30pm at Powells Creek at Concord West) and Sundays (9:00am - 1:00pm at UWS Campus Kingswood) starting on the 29th May.

Training is compulsory, but your work and study commitments will be taken into consideration if you cannot attend training.

For Training you will need to be in full kit (Helmet, Shoulder Pads and Lowers). You will not be allowed to train otherwise.

The cost of the trip will be between $600 and $800. The cost will be finalised this week.

This includes:
Transport to Queensland and back
Transport to and from Games while in the Gold Coast
Accommodation and Meals
Team Uniform (Jersey, Playing Pants, Polo, Hat, T-Shirt and Shorts)

You will need to pay a deposit of $100 by the 1st of June.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to not only represent your state, but a chance to play in an arena that is challenging and will improve you as a player.

I look forward to you being available to tour.

Colts Grand Finals Results

Colts 2008

Congratulations to the Storm running out clear winners in the Colts Championship beating UTS 52 points to 14.

Dean Burghuis #28 from the Storm was awarded the Game’s MVP and can now look forward to wearing a Brand new Riddell Revolution Helmet which was has been gratefully donated by South Pacific Pro Sports Supplies (Mike Crawley and NSW Sales Rep Matt Steel). In other awards the Western Conference MVP was Grant Bennett #12 from the Chiefs & Eastern Conference MVP was Jean Prill #9 from the Storm.

Preparation now switches to the Div 1 2008 Season with week 1 commencing 6th September. This year also earmarks the 25th Anniversary year for Gridiron NSW. There is an Anniversary Dinner being held on Saturday 30th August. More detail to follow.

Wolfpack win 2008 Senior Nationals

Congratulations to the Wolfpack team for our win at the Senior Nationals. Final scores were NSW (17) vs VIC (16) after the game went into overtime tonight. This is Wolfpack's 4th National shield.
